What is Atlas Orthogonal Technique?
This technique is a low force way of restoring body balance and reactivating the body’s natural healing ability. This precise form of chiropractic adjustment painlessly restores body balance without forceful movements or twisting of the neck or back. A.O. properly aligns the atlas vertebra. Even a few degrees of misalignment of the atlas (the first vertebra of the spine) can cause symptoms like headaches, migraines, neck and shoulder pain, high blood pressure, low back pain, allergies, sinus problems and sciatica.
How is this technique different from general chiropractic services?
Dr. Z’s method is gentle and painless. Most notable is that there is no twisting, cracking or manipulation. Low force is used at the affected areas. Patients attest that while the adjustment is painless it’s incredibly effective.
What should I expect after my first treatment?
You will likely see an immediate change in your posture and possibly less symptoms than when you came in. Some patients experience mild soreness and some feel a bit sleepy after treatment.
How many treatments are required to be healed?
The amount of care needed is customized for each individual patient and situation. Extensive testing in the office allows us to customize each patient's treatment plan. With that being said, some patients experience the elimination of symptoms after just one treatment. A.O. provides better accuracy so often fewer adjustments are needed for proven results. For long term proper adjustment, several treatments may be recommended but far fewer than most other forms of treatment. A.O. provides greater relief, better health, fewer visits and ultimately less expense for long term results. Factors that affect the rate of your healing include, age, chronicity of symptoms and lifestyle factors.
Is Atlas Orthogonal just for back pain and neck pain?
A.O. can help your body no matter why type of health problem you experience. Dr. Z specializes in correcting the bone structure of the head and neck. This misalignment can affect the communication of your nervous system between your brain and body causing pain, stress and tension.
In addition to relief from back, neck and shoulder pain Dr. Z has had positive results with patients with:
Low Back Pain
Cervical disc herniations
